If we can play defense like we did last night we have a good chance of getting the victory. We do need better games out of Young especially but Dakari, Andrew and Poythress as well. From now on no easy games there is no sugar coating it and if we are not on top of our game we will lose, it's that simple.

Does Kansas State coach Bruce Weber think unbeaten Wichita State or Kentucky have more work cut out for it in Sunday’s game?

“I think both of them do. Obviously Wichita State had an unbelievable season. They are so sound defensively. They guard you like crazy. It will probably be a game like tonight, that’s what I would anticipate,” Weber said.

“It will be interesting, Kentucky’s little bit of length that might be a difference‑maker, but the way Kentucky guarded, they’re going to be able to match what Wichita does.
And, you know, it will be a great match‑up, there’s no doubt about it. It should be exciting.”

I would say we do have the capability to beat them and I'm sure it will be exciting. But will enough of these guys be able to bring their A game? That remains to be seen. anyone seen the spread yet? I would guess we will be about a 2 or 3 point underdog.

Randle had them on last night.

Wife's Mad. Told me we never talk anymore. And just last nite while watching super bowl told her 2 or 3 times to get me a coke and popcorn. Also told her not to forget to take out trash in the morning. Ain't that something. Also told me I was too indecisive. Can't figure out what to do about that. One nice thing I guess. She called me a pro crastinator. Don't know what a crastinator is but I guess I'm a good one for her to call me a pro. Gonna wait til tomorrow to look that up though. I love her but somrtimes can't help but thinking I should have told uncle Junior to keep his coon hound pup and stevens double barrel and also his youngest daughter.

Randle and Young both had them on last night, Young had em on in the sec. championship game when he slipped, I blamed the shoes on that, I think Cal should step in and say hey fellows we are Blue and White them aint gonna look good when we wear Blue tomorrow. I don't get it, But I'm Old School. Blue and White at that not Green.

I feel that our school colors are blue and white and that all players should be wearing these colors and these colors only uniform wise during games, no deviations.

In order to win against Wichita State we will need to pick up our game on both ends considerably. I think that we need to shoot at least 40% (preferably more) from the field, at least 33% from 3-point range, and at least 70% from the foul line. We did none of these against Kansas State. Our turnovers need to be not a lot more than 10 (we had 15 against K-State) or at least our turnover margin needs to be not negative by more than 5, and, if it is, it needs to be negated by a rebounding margin of at least double the turnover deficit. None of these things are unachievable.

We will have to cover the three point shooters better, because they will most likely not continue missing those as Kansas State did. If we can make them two point shooters and funnel them into our bigs, we have a lot better shot at victory. Letting them fire away, and hit, from three point land is one way that they can beat us and negate our size advantage.

We also need to convert a lot more of those 1 footers that Cal talks about. We consistently miss more of those than almost anybody.

From here, and beyond if we get past this game, we will keep having to play our best game and then up it for the next. Or there will be no survival and advancement.

As I said, it is possible to do all of these things. Whether the will is there to do them, I still am not sure about.

Go Big Blue!

I agree with Green-Bean our colors are Blue and White, we play as a team and we all wear the same uniform and that includes your shoes. We are Kentucky!
