I just hope we forget about last week and play the way we are capable of playing and give Georgia a butt kicking.
Georgia, obviously they’re disappointed in how they played, so I think you’ll see two teams playing with a lot of passion on Saturday. They’ve got a ton of great athletes. It’s the same, year in and year out when you turn them on. Played them at Troy, played them here. Tremendous athletes. Jeremy Pruit does a really good job with their defense. Obviously some similarities to what we do here, similarities to what Alabama does. Our secondary coach, Coach Ansley, has some history with Pruit, and a lot of things we’re doing in the secondary are similar. So there’s some carryover from what we see in preseason camp and what we see in the spring to what they’re going to do.
“They’re very talented up front. I think when you talk about the best teams in our league, much like MIssouri, the ability of their guys up front. They have length. The Floyd kid is very long. He’s not the heaviest, but he’s explosive. He’s got pressure on the quarterback against everybody they’ve played. The other end, No. 59, is really disruptive.
“They’re just big, strong guys in the middle. From recruiting that area for a long time, there’s a bunch of strong interior guys in Georgia, and Georgia has done a really good job of getting those. Then maybe two of the best linebackers in our league. A lot of tackles, really active. The kid, No. 5, their nickel — they play him at corner some — he made a lot of plays for them, so they’re doing a really good job. It’s going to be a tremendous challenge.
“I’m excited to get our kids ready. We’re only as good as our last game, and unfortunately we weren’t very good the last game. So I’m excited about getting back out there Saturday and proving we’re better than what we showed last week.”
