It isn't going to be easy but we do have a shot to beat them if we play our "very" best football on both sides of the ball.

While Kentucky’s offensive line has been criticized for its recent play, Kentucky offensive coordinator Neal Brown said UK’s guard actually played well in last week’s loss at Missouri.

“One of the few bright spots in the game was our two guards really played better. I mean, really did. We got exposed against Mississippi State on some twists and some line movements. We got a lot of hits, and those guys inside played better (against Missouri),” Brown said.

“Zach West probably played his second-best game. His best game was against South Carolina. And then (Cole) Mosier and Ramsey Meyers both played better. Now can they play better? Yes, they have to.

“And ours comes down to technique issues, and it’s still a consistency deal. But when we play with good technique — and I’m talking about the three redshirts, Mosier, (Nick) Haynes and then Ramsey Meyers — when they play with good technique, they block the best people in our league.

“But when they don’t — because of their lack of experience, maybe they’re not as strong as the guy they’re playing with, maybe their lateral agility’s not as good — when they don’t play with good technique, they get exposed. And for the most part, they’ve played better, but we still got exposed when we played with bad technique.”
