With college visits heating up, players are finally getting the opportunity to see the campuses they will/might call home at one point in their basketball career.
For Kentucky, they had two players on campus last week to check out all of what the program has to offer: Skyy Clark and John McCrear.
Clark was on campus for his official visit this past weekend, and he seemed to enjoy it quite well with his family.
There was a brief period when it was though Clark might wavier from his commitment after Joel Justus, his lead recruiter, left for Arizona State. That got shut down rather quickly, and this only helps ease fans minds on keeping the point guard committed.
Clark will be transferring to Montverde Academy in Florida for his senior season.
John McCrear is one name for Kentucky fans to keep their eyes on though. The class of 2023 forward, who plays for Lexington Catholic, made a trip down the road for an unofficial visit. Travis Graf of Cats Illustrated reported the news.
With Orlando Antigua showing McCrear around, there could be some serious interest from Kentucky in the coming years.
The nephew of Kentucky football recruiting coordinator and tight ends coach Vince Marrow, McCrear obviously has a relationship with the school, and it sounds like interest between both sides is getting serious.
McCrear burst onto the scene this past season, and has the potential to not only become one of the best players in Kentucky, but one of the best players in the country.
