Terrence Clarke is the No. 3 player in the 2021 basketball recruiting class, according to the 247 Sports composite rankings.
The 6-7, 185-pounder is an outstanding scorer with great size and athleticism. And at Peach Jam this week, he openly talked about the possibility of reclassifying to the 2020 class.
Jack Pilgrim is covering Peach Jam for KSR, and he had this to say about Clarke in a tweet on Thursday:That is significant, because Clarke and Boston have both shown heavy interest in playing at Kentucky. Although Duke has had some recent momentum, Kentucky still leads Boston’s 247 Sports Crystal Ball at 53%.
Boston is the No. 10 player in the 2020 class, and is an outstanding scorer in his own right, putting up 26 points in his first Peach Jam game on Wednesday. Boston also recently set a date for his official visit to UK, which will begin on July 25th.
With both Tyrese Maxey and Kahlil Whitney projected in the first round of the 2020 NBA Draft, the Wildcats will be looking for replacements at both of their positions. In theory, Clarke and Boston could slide into those roles without missing much of a beat.
