Wildcats currently have zero basketball commitments for the 2020 class.

However, that certainly does not stop the coaching staff from trying to secure the top talent in the 2021 group.

Jonathan Kuminga received the first offer from Kentucky out of all high school sophomores last season. Since that time, he has done nothing but prove himself worthy of that offer.

Now with dozens of scholarship offers and more on the way, Kuminga is the No. 2 recruit in the 2021 class according to the 247 Sports Composite rankings, but he is ranked as high as No. 1 by Rivals.com. The five-star forward continues to play as if he is underrated, and he is setting the Nike circuit on fire this summer.

Kuminga has averaged 20.8 points, 5.2 rebounds and 3.3 assists per game this spring against some of the top competition in the country. His most notable performance came against a team with both Greg Brown and Cade Cunningham in the 2020 class. Kuminga hit seven three-pointers and scored an astounding 43 points.
