Sorry to hear that, wished he would have stayed at Kentucky for another season or two.
Marquis Teague's stint with the Philadelphia 76ers lasted barely through the weekend. The Sixers waived him Monday after he was acquired in a trade from Brooklyn Friday.
Teague played 67 games in his first season-plus for a then-depleted Bulls lineup, even starting three games in his sophomore 2013-14 campaign. But he didn't last in Chicago, with his field-goal percentage dropping from .381 as a rookie to .319 in his second year. He went back and forth in the D-League until the Bulls traded him to Brooklyn in January.
The point guard was moved again Friday in a deal sending Casper Ware to Brooklyn, with the potential of cracking the rotation on a youthful and wide-open 76ers roster.

Same comments as I just posted on the thread about Lamb. The tide is turning and just the top guys are going to be able to stick with the NBA. This could have an effect on the UK recruiting if they see that just because Cal can get them to the NBA quick doesn't mean they are assured of staying there. We have some on this years roster who think they can make it but I'm betting that some of them don't last.

What the NBA needs to do is just have a draft every other year unless they develop a solid minor league/farm system. People like Teague have no business being in the draft after one mediocre year of college. I hope that the money he made lasts him a long time. No college education. No NBA-level skill. Maybe he can go play with Randolph Morris in Japan.

I think Teague will be just fine. He has already made $3.2 million (more than most Americans will make in their lifetime), his father is a muti-millionaire, and his brother has already made over $15 million in the NBA and this off season signed a 4 year contract worth $32 million more.
I think he will "slide" by.
-------------------- Wife's Mad. Told me we never talk anymore. And just last nite while watching super bowl told her 2 or 3 times to get me a coke and popcorn. Also told her not to forget to take out trash in the morning. Ain't that something. Also told me I was too indecisive. Can't figure out what to do about that. One nice thing I guess. She called me a pro crastinator. Don't know what a crastinator is but I guess I'm a good one for her to call me a pro. Gonna wait til tomorrow to look that up though. I love her but somrtimes can't help but thinking I should have told uncle Junior to keep his coon hound pup and stevens double barrel and also his youngest daughter.

At least it sounds like he won't have a bunch of family "moochers" around to take his money. That's a good thing.
