I thought he had a good shoot with his 3 point shooting ability. Hopefully he will find a foreign team that will sign him.

The Dallas Mavericks announced today they have requested waivers on center Bernard James, forward Ivan Johnson and guard Doron Lamb.

Lamb (6-4, 200) played in five preseason games for Dallas in 2014 and averaged 3.4 points in 9.3 minutes.

This deal of so many guys turning pro after 1 or 2 seasons is starting to hit home. When so many guys go out there early an equal number of guys have to be released from teams to make room for them. Eventually all these young guys leaving early will find there is no place on a roster for them. And as you say some will have to go overseas to find a team. There is nothing wrong with that except they are giving up a college education and 4 years, and maybe a championship with their college team. I think we'll see more of these ex-UK kids not being able to stick with NBA teams. I really foresee us going back to the freshman ineligible to play for the varsity team. It would be refreshing to see that return where there are freshmen teams with walkons as part of their team. That would also entail going back to allowing kids to choose between college and the NBA out of high school. It worked back then and it could work again. I think the reason they got rid of freshmen teams was due to no money to support them. With these new huge tv contracts and shoe deals there should be enough to fund freshmen teams for most big schools.
