The Kentucky Wildcats are still looking to add to their stacked 2020 recruiting class, but one of their potential recruits could be leaning towards skipping college.
Back in December, Kai Sotto took an unofficial visit to Kentucky, and it has been thought that he may end up in Lexington. He has also been considering Auburn, DePaul, Georgia Tech, and USC.
But in this week’s Three-Point Play, Corey Evans discussed the latest on Sotto and the likely path of skipping college.
“Sources have told Rivals.com that Sotto is leaning toward skipping college entirely and instead training for the 2021 NBA Draft.”
Evans noted that if Sotto decided to attend the Skills Factory in Atlanta, he would be taking the same path that Marjon Beauchamp is taking, who is also in the 2020 class.
Sotto has been a breakout star this winter and could still end up deciding that going to college would be the right path for him, but it is starting to sound like he will be skipping college to train for the 2021 NBA Draft.

Personally, I think this is the best option for all "one and dones". Let them go straight to the league! Only those kids who actually value an education, or at least the "college experience", should head of to our universities. [ 03-06-2020, 09:13 PM: Message edited by: Tiptree ]
