The Kentucky Wildcats defeated the Ole Miss Rebels on Saturday afternoon by five points.

It was a thrilling game which Kentucky didn’t secure until the final seconds. Thanks to a double-digit effort in the second half from Nick Richards, the Wildcats were able to get the job done.

With multiple players (Ashton Hagans and EJ Montgomery) fouling out and in front of a ruckus crowd at Rupp Arena, the Wildcats were able to get the job done. It may help their future as well, putting on that performance in front of two high-profile recruits.

Four-star point guard Paul McMillan was one of the two that made the trip to Lexington, according to Brian Snow. For McMillan, the trip is just about two hours south as he’s coming from Cincinnati, having attended Woodward Career Technical high school. He holds offers from Cincinnati, Dayton and Xavier.

McMillan is ranked 42nd overall and is the ninth-best point guard recruit in the Class of 2022, according to 247 Sports. It’s still a bit early in his recruiting process to know he’s truly considering, but he did visit for Big Blue Madness, so it’s clear he’s very interested in what Kentucky has to offer.

That said, the second recruit that got to catch the Kentucky win is Enoch Boakye, according to Jake Weingarten.

Boakye is a 6-10 center from Canada by way of George Harris Prep. He’s considered one of the best recruits in the nation, as he is ranked 21st overall in addition to being the third-ranked center in 2022. Boakye has already received offers from Michigan State, Arizona, BYU, Houston and UCLA.

The five-star will likely see offers flow in as he’ll continue to visit high-profile programs.

The development combined with the arena and passionate fans have made Lexington a hotspot for recruits over the last decade, and that should continue well into the future too.

Either one of these recruits would look good in Blue and White.
