Kentucky basketball is riding a three-game win streak after a 14-point comeback win at Vanderbilt. The No. 12 Wildcats have won seven of their last eight games and are tied for second place in the SEC standings.

A big reason why the team has played well lately is the play of sophomore point guard Ashton Hagans. He does a little bit of everything for the team, and having averaged 28.5 minutes per game over 37 contests a season ago, he is one of several players in the rotation that returned from Kentucky’s Elite Eight team last year.

“I’ve just been trying to play the same game,” Hagans said of his near triple-double performance against Vanderbilt. “The past few games, I’ve been turning the ball over a lot -- playing a little bit sloppy last game. My main focus was just trying to do anything to help my team get a win and just stay the course and play my game and to keep being aggressive on the defensive end, pushing the ball and keeping my teammates involved. That’s really it.”

This guy says we're tied for 2nd in the SEC, I think we're tied for 1st, am I wrong?

I think there's 3 way tie for the top spot. 9-2 Currently Auburn would hold the advantage over us because of head to head outcome. (loss to Auburn)

Yeah we're tied for 1st and Auburn has the win over us. If we play like we did today LSU and Auburn will both be ahead of us. We have nothing but tough games at the end of the schedule.

At LSU, at A&M, TN at home, AU at home and FL home and home. The schedule couldn't be worse. [Eek!] All we have to do is win out and we are the champs. After today.....rots a ruck [Frown]

The way Hagans has played the last 6 out of 7 games i think, he is not ready. He has got to be better for us.

Juzang is the one who worries me. He had that deer in the headlights look on his face today when it got close to crunch time and he had to be in the game because of foul trouble!

MH, every time he got the ball down the stretch coach was yelling for him to pass it. He's a really good shooter.

When a coach yells at you to pass it every time it sure doesn't help your confidence. If Cal didn't think he could shoot why did he put him in the game or ever recruit him?

All these guys would play better if Calipari would quit screaming at them and yanking them out first mistake or rebound they miss. Except Hagans.
