ESPN Article on SEC teams.

Kentucky, normally the standard-bearer for the league, has used up its cache of good will from wins over Duke and Louisville in non-conference play and even a tough overtime loss at Kansas. The Wildcats play like world-beaters in Lexington, but have portrayed an entirely different team in their eight road losses. That includes Saturday’s 74-62 loss at Vanderbilt, where UK always enjoys its fan base buying enough tickets to tilt the Commodores’ home-court advantage into merely an inconvenience.

Texas A&M went 4-0 against its old Big 12 foes, including wins over Iowa State and Baylor. But its five-game conference losing streak after racing out to a 7-0 start rightfully tapered any expectations of a deep NCAA tournament run.

Vanderbilt was arguably the most disappointing team in the nation based on the experience and talent level the Commodores returned. When they play up to their potential with guard Wade Baldwin and center Damian Jones leading the way, they have a high upside. But it’s a little late in the season to still be talking potential over production.

South Carolina’s 13-0 run through its non-conference schedule looks more hollow with every stumble like its 72-67 loss to last-place Missouri and Saturday’s 68-58 loss at Mississippi State.

Florida seemingly has done enough to warrant a bid, but its current three-game losing streak has it trending in the wrong direction even if it does get in.

It’s all setting up possibly the worst seeding the conference has received since 2009 when only three teams received bids and LSU’s No. 8 seed was the best the league could muster. The Tigers were the only team to win a game and they were promptly eliminated by eventual national champion North Carolina in the second round.

If SEC teams are again reduced to spectators after the NCAA tournament’s opening weekend, can’t say that anyone should be surprised.

It will all depend upon matchups. JMO, but I don't see much difference among any of the power conferences this year. No one is winning on the road.

Wife's Mad. Told me we never talk anymore. And just last nite while watching super bowl told her 2 or 3 times to get me a coke and popcorn. Also told her not to forget to take out trash in the morning. Ain't that something. Also told me I was too indecisive. Can't figure out what to do about that. One nice thing I guess. She called me a pro crastinator. Don't know what a crastinator is but I guess I'm a good one for her to call me a pro. Gonna wait til tomorrow to look that up though. I love her but somrtimes can't help but thinking I should have told uncle Junior to keep his coon hound pup and stevens double barrel and also his youngest daughter.

That is the way I feel Trey. This is probably the most wide open the Championship has been in several years. A lot of good teams but no great ones this year. I just wish we had one consistent low post scorer and rim protector, with the guards we have we could make a lot of noise in the tournament if we did.

And next year they will both probably be gone. I just don't see Fox and Monk being able to duplicate Ulis and Murray. They will be good but I don't think they can provide the punch our guards have this year.

Bama, we will play a totally different style next year but will be much better.
I think we will start 4 freshmen and possibly Willis.
There will be less parity as UK, Duke and Michigan St. will dominate!
