You would think with the way they are better than us in all areas except blocks we don't have a chance. I guess strength of schedule is the difference

We can add another loss to Pitino's record against Cal and the Cats and we can add another win to Cal's record against Pitino and the Cardinals.

It also goes to show that our schedule has to be a lot tougher than Louisville's in the early games. Check it out below and don't agree it has to be one of the easiest schedules for a big name basketball school in the country "up to the Kentucky game." It does get a lot tougher from the Kentucky game on.
Nov 13; Samford; 7:00 PM
Nov 17; Hartford; 7:00 PM
Nov 21; No. Florida; TBA
Nov 24; St. Fran.-NY; 7:00 PM

I think the ACC is way down this year, Duke, UNC, Va and Miami are probably their strongest teams along with U of L. NC State, Wake, Ga Tech, Fl State, Clemson etc are rather weak. Georgia blew Clemson out at Clemson the other night, they have lost their last three games, two to sec teams on their home floor. I think the SEC will have comparable teams with them this season, their top may be a little stronger but top to bottom we will match up with them pretty good if UK, Vandy once they get Kornet back, Fla, LSU, Texas A&M etc play to their capabilities. I am really impressed with Texas A&M, they are going to be tough as is Vandy when they have their complete roster. It is indeed going to be a fun year in college basketball, no real dominant teams thus far, talent level seems to be down somewhat over the last couple of years.

MSU was against the ropes the other night against a mid level program, like you said, there's no real dominant team out there!

The only stat we really beat UL in yesterday was three pointers, Both made and percentage! Which is what eventually won us the ball game!

When you go 4-14 shooting 3's it sure doesn't help especially when you play a team that goes 11-23 from the 3 point line. A 21 point difference is hard to make up.

MH, I don't understand against Ohio State we went 9-19 from the 3 point line for 48%. We just about matched Ohio State in 3 point shooting as the went 9-18! We lost the game but it wasn't because of our 3 point shooting.
