Get ready soon. The schedule doesn't favor us for a lot of wins early. Basketball will be here soon.

Kentucky football has "seldom" been if ever our best sport but it's a great sport to watch even when don't win a lot. I guess it's like when you have a child or grandchild that isn't the best athlete and plays sparingly even on church teams, ymca teams and little league teams. You go there and pull for them to do their best even though it's obvious they don't win many games and they aren't the best athletes. You pull hard for them and it's a lot like Kentucky football. I always have and always will keep watching and pulling for the Cats and their will be a lot of us that will continue to do that win or lose.

Right on Norm. I am in Ky for a family reunion and got to see the game. Kind of discouraging.

I'm with you, Norm.
I never cared much for football. My favorite sports are baseball and basketball.
My grandson has played baseball since he was 5. He has become a very good baseball player over the years in spite of not being very athletically gifted. One of his Cal Ripkin league coaches said he had the highest baseball IQ of any kid he ever coached in 17 years of coaching.
Unfortunately he had an appendectomy right before the summer baseball season tryouts and was not able to play this summer. He will play in the 14u fall ball league this year and I can't wait.
And since my favorite baseball team, the Cincinnati Reds, suck this year I can't wait for basketball to start.

Nothing is worse than having to spend your summers watching a kid playing little league baseball in unbearable heat. The games drag on forever and half the parents should be jailed for abusing their kids and the umpires. I wouldn't be surprise if they all went to church on Sunday and acted like they were pure as the driven snow.
