The administration is doing all they can to keep Cal for the rest of his coaching career.
ESPN business insider Darren Rovell Thursday had this message on Twitter that explains another reason why life is so good for Calipari at UK: "Kentucky coach John Calipari, who will make $7M this season, gets an additional $1.6M retention bonus tomorrow."
Calipari was the highest paid coach to make last season's NCAA Tournament, earning $6,009,000 in salary and another $347,756, according to the USA TODAY. That's a lot of money and then to get that kind of retention bonus combined with the success Calipari has had on the court just makes it seem logical that the coach will be at UK until he's ready to call it quits.

Like one fan pointed out Cal has the best job in the country and he is paid accordingly. I wouldn't be surprised if he didn't coach Kentucky until he retires. Hope so anyway.

There isn't anywhere he could go that would compare to the program he has at Kentucky.
