He just can't hardly go a year without some sort of problem. He isn't guilty yet but the NCAA must think he may be involved as they are looking into the SMU basketball program.
SMU men's basketball coach Larry Brown is facing a "lack of coach control" charge after the NCAA investigated allegations concerning the eligibility of one of his players, reports Yahoo! Sports' Pat Forde.
According to the report, the NCAA is looking into the golf program as well as the men's basketball program. The NCAA had a two-day hearing with the school last month.
The NCAA is reportedly looking into the role of former SMU assistant coach Ulric Maligi and a secretary in the basketball program who allegedly helped guard Keith Frazier with coursework.
Investigators are trying to determine what Brown knew about Frazier's academic situation.

Brown is denying the charges per this article.
"Larry is denying any wrongdoing," a source told CBSSports.com.
SMU's in-person encounter with the NCAA happened in June. Yahoo's Pat Forde reports Brown has the NCAA targeting him with a "lack of coach control" charge. There is also the issue of SMU guard Keith Frazier, whose academic performance is under scrutiny. Frazier's season ended in January, the school citing his academic ineligibility. Coming into question is how, and how much, Frazier's schoolwork was helped by former SMU coach Ulric Maligi as well as a former secretary in the SMU athletic office.
Brown, 74, has a history of being burned by the NCAA. While at UCLA and Kansas in the 1980s, his programs were found to have committed major violations. Brown returned to college coaching in 2012 after a 23-year absence.
Brown coached the Mustangs to last season's NCAA Tournament, their first appearance in 22 years. SMU won the AAC in 2014-15. Brown has a 69-34 record in the past three seasons.

Yeah, let's go get the guy whose secretary and coach helped a kid with his homework. But let's just ignore the fact that an entire academic department was created and fraudulently sustained specifically to help dozens, if not hundreds of UNC athletes keep their grades up.
I just love me some NCAA hypocrisy.
