We shall see but it looks like Diallo is in for a big let down. I think however losing to Wisconsin not only cost us a National Championship but some awfully good recruits as well.
Early Tuesday morning, a source close to five-star big man Cheick Diallo said that the prospect was "very close" to making his choice. Tuesday afternoon, the No. 5 player in the class of 2015 went from very close to committed by selecting Kansas.
Diallo explained to Rivals.com the reasons for which he selected the Jayhawks. "I picked Kansas because the way the develop bigs especially with Joel Embiid," Diallo told Rivals.com. "I think I will play a big role there because of my style of play."
One of the premier big men in the class of 2015, Diallo fills a huge area of need for the Jayhawks and gives Bill Self a hard-fought recruiting win.
A native of Mali who played his high school ball at Centereach (N.Y.) Our Savior, Diallo has earned his reputation through the years thanks to his high-energy style of play. The 6-foot-9, 220-pounder runs the court like a sprinter, fights on the glass, protects the rim and has developed his offense each step of the way during his high school career.

Would have been nice to have him. But what the Cats need is a small forward. or guard/forward combo

Agreed.
-------------------- Wife's Mad. Told me we never talk anymore. And just last nite while watching super bowl told her 2 or 3 times to get me a coke and popcorn. Also told her not to forget to take out trash in the morning. Ain't that something. Also told me I was too indecisive. Can't figure out what to do about that. One nice thing I guess. She called me a pro crastinator. Don't know what a crastinator is but I guess I'm a good one for her to call me a pro. Gonna wait til tomorrow to look that up though. I love her but somrtimes can't help but thinking I should have told uncle Junior to keep his coon hound pup and stevens double barrel and also his youngest daughter.

I couldn't name a Kansas big guy other than Raef LaFrentz and Danny Manning.

Paul - Embiid was the number one pick last year I think. (7 ft he played against my HS team a few yrs ago at "The Rock" in G-ville.) [ 04-29-2015, 02:17 PM: Message edited by: ukcatfannfl ]

EC, I feel the same way. He is a talent and it will be interesting how he does playing for Self and Kansas.
