I've only watched Arizona play a few times this year, but I think they are the only team that pose a legitimate threat to UK.
They are big and athletic and they defend the rim just like UK. That game would come down to which team was hitting from the outside.
I hope they are a #1 seed on the opposite side of UK. That would be a great championship game.

Wife's Mad. Told me we never talk anymore. And just last nite while watching super bowl told her 2 or 3 times to get me a coke and popcorn. Also told her not to forget to take out trash in the morning. Ain't that something. Also told me I was too indecisive. Can't figure out what to do about that. One nice thing I guess. She called me a pro crastinator. Don't know what a crastinator is but I guess I'm a good one for her to call me a pro. Gonna wait til tomorrow to look that up though. I love her but somrtimes can't help but thinking I should have told uncle Junior to keep his coon hound pup and stevens double barrel and also his youngest daughter.

I'm with you on that........ Would love the chance to play them in the final...... That would mean that dUKe, Wisconsin and Villanova were already home...
Plus it was Arizona, with Mike Bibby and Miles Simon that beat us in '97......

It's hard to tell just how good Arizona is as we have only one like opponent and that is Missouri and they played them the first game of the year and won by 20 points at home. The other game I found interesting is that they played Gonzaga at home but it took a overtime to beat them. Arizona has lost 3 games all on the road to UNLV, Oregon State and Arizona Sate. All 3 teams that are not strong teams......IMO It "looks" to me that it would be great if we could play them as number one seed!

I don't believe Arizona will get a number one seed. They will more than likely be on the two seed line. Right now the number one seeds would more than likely be UK, UVA, Duke and Villanova. I personally would rather play Arizona than Virginia.

I just don't see giving the ACC two #1 Seeds, especially if Arizona wins out.
I think their three losses are by a total of 8 points. Arizona is legit from what little I have seen of them. Their scoring differential in the PAC 12 is almost identical to what UK's is in the SEC. UK managed to win their 3 close games and Arizona ended up a basket or two short.

From what I have seen of Virginia I will be surprised if they make it past the Sweet 16. I'm just not impressed by them. They remind me of a lot of the Big 10 teams like Purdue/Illinois/Iowa from the late 80's and early 90's. Lot's of success with that style of play in the regular season, but it is hard for it to transfer over into March.

I meant Wisconsin instead of Duke on the number one line. I have seen a lot of Virginia, they are an outstanding team. They play defense like we do and are a very efficient offensive team, both inside and outside. I don't think the ACC gets two number one seeds either, and don't think they should. Ky, Va, Wisc are three that will more than likely get number one seeds, the other will be between Villanova, Duke and Arizona if the pairings were today, IMHO.
Some of the basketball pundits are talking about Wisc being a two seed in the same bracket with the Cats, I guess we will know for certain who the committee seeds where etc two weeks from today.

I know you have watched Virginia much more than I have and you know I value your opinion so maybe I will have to reconsider my thoughts on them. I do think they will be a #1 seed (unless they drop a game prior to the end of the season and lose the ACC tourney to Duke).
The only full game I have watched UVA play was the Louisville game and I caught the last 10 minutes when they played Duke and they were not very impressive in those 50 minutes. So those minutes are my basis of opinion for Virginia.
