I have noticed how the teams have bonded a lot more than previous teams since Alex Poythress became a Cat and the teams have really cared not only more about each other but to others as well. This article is a good example that shows just how caring they are. It really makes one proud of our team even when they show how they care for others as well as winning basketball games. We are so fortunate to have athletes like we have that help so many others. It makes one proud to be a Cat fan.

Kentucky basketball players Aaron Harrison, Dakari Johnson, Alex Poythress and Dominique Hawkins met fifth-grade students at Cassidy Elementary School in Lexington Thursday as part of the UK Athletics Backpack Program.

Players recorded a message for the Cassidy students about the importance of working hard in class and also answered questions from the fifth graders.

That was a bit different experience than passing out pizza to Big Blue Madness campout participants Thursday night.
