Grandpa is not happy about this choice but it is too good of an opportunity for him to pass up. When I voiced my concerns to him he said he would be safer there than in Lexington or any other University here in the United States. Unfortunately he may be right. I know you were in that part of the world, were you ever assigned in Saudi? I travelled that area many times and assigned to Saudi a lot on short assignments and I am sure he will be safe. Sudan and Saudi are two different worlds however - in Saudi one is safe {unless u cross the govt} in Sudan you are never safe anytime and especially now that there is a civil war happening. Our govt has abandoned our citizens and as a result many may be killed and/or imprisoned.
