The transfer portal has been the talk of college basketball so far as the offseason has started for most teams, and one Kentucky Wildcats target seems to be trending elsewhere.
Matt Jones of KSR is reporting former North Oldham star, Justin Powell, is trending towards calling the University of Tennessee his new home.
Powell was one of (if not the) first big-time transfer to hit the portal this offseason. When this decision was made, rumors of his imminent commitment to Kentucky started to circle across the fanbase especially with the obvious need for a shooter on next seasons roster. Not to mention him being from Kentucky played a huge part in it as well.
Powell last season in ten games for Auburn averaged 11.7 points, 6.1 rebounds, and 4.7 assists.
