In a near empty field, surrounded by the afterglow of a state championship win, Keaten Wade took it all in.

After losing in the very same stadium on the same stage in 2019 and suffering a stress fracture in his fifth metatarsal in just the first game of 2020, Wade had waited for this moment.

He and his brother, both four-star athletes, committed to Kentucky in April. Now, they prep for their final high school season albeit in Class 6A, the state's highest classification, after TSSAA reclassification moved Summit up from Class 5A.

"I just want to prove I can still play out there," Keaten said. "We can still make a deep run and we're still one of the top players in Tennessee."

Keaten is No. 3 on The Tennessean's 2021 Dandy Dozen, a collection of the top college football prospects from the Nashville area as selected by the newspaper.

He is the No. 4 college prospect in the state according to the 247Sports Composite and No. 21 linebacker in the country for the Class of 2022.
