The Louisville Cardinals will be down four players vs. the Kentucky Wildcats due to suspension.

According to the Courier-Journal, Louisville will be without tight end Jordan Davis and three running backs in Dae Williams, Malik Staples and Javian Hawkins. The four were all suspended for violating team rules.

Davis was the only one expected to play. Without him, Louisville will only have one tight end on scholarship available for the game. Dae Williams was already out injured, Malik Staples is redshirting the season and Javian Hawkins has not played at all this season.

Kentucky is already a 17-point favorite for tonight’s game, so this doesn’t really change much. Still, it can’t help an already reeling Louisville team and could be a sign that the players are already ready for this season to be over.

The Wildcats have no excuse to not come out of Cardinal Stadium with the Governor’s Cup in hand.
