Kentucky coach Mark Stoops wouldn’t say Thursday if running back Boom Williams would play against Eastern Kentucky Saturday night.

The sophomore missed practice Monday and Tuesday because he was upset about something that happened in the second half of last week’s win over Missouri when he had just one second-half carry. He returned to practice Wednesday.

“He’s been at practice, so we’ll see. We’ll see where things go. I’m not really not going to comment,” Stoops said when asked about Williams’ status.

Defensive lineman Regie Meant definitely will not play for the second straight week due to a shoulder problem.

“He should be fine, hopefully, in a week or so. He’s close,” Stoops said.

Hopefully he will be ready on the 15th for the Auburn game.
