The future is looking brighter especially if Stoops can keep bringing in better talent.

Four true freshmen are listed at top spots on the new football depth chart released by the University of Kentucky on Monday morning.

Tight end C.J. Conrad, right tackle George Asafo-Adjei and cornerback Chris Westry are all listed as starters in their first season with the Wildcats. Running back Sihiem King is also the first player listed among kick returners.

Conrad and Asafo-Adjei enrolled at UK last January and participated in spring practice.

Other true freshmen listed on the UK depth chart include Kengera Daniel (No. 2 DE/LB behind redshirt freshman Denzil Ware), Josh Allen (No. 2 strongside linebacker behind senior Jabari Johnson), Eli Brown (No. 2 weakside linebacker along with senior Khalid Henderson and behind senior Ryan Flannigan), and Derrick Baity (No. 2 cornerback behind senior Cody Quinn).

Ware is the only redshirt freshman listed at No. 1 at his position.

Several redshirt freshmen are listed at No. 2 at their positions: tight end Daryl Long, left guard Bunchy Stallings, right guard Jarrett LaRubbio, wide receiver Thaddeus Snodgrass, quarterback Drew Barker, defensive tackle Adrian Middleton, middle linebacker Nico Firios, safety Mike Edwards and safety Darius West.

Junior-college newcomers Courtney Miggins and Alvonte Bell are listed No. 2 and 3, respectively, at defensive end, behind senior Farrington Huguenin.
