Kentucky sophomore quarterback Reese Phillips is back getting some practice reps and is close to giving UK a legitimate third-team quarterback behind Patrick Towles and Drew Barker.

Phillips missed all of spring practice with a ruptured Achilles’ tendon.

"I would say he's close to 100 (percent). I mean, he was close enough to 100 in the last week to start giving him some team reps," Kentucky offensive coordinator Shannon Dawson said Friday.
