According to a report from our friends over at The Cats Pause, UK special teams and safeties coach Craig Naivar is leaving Kentucky for a job at Houston. Naivar leaves Lexington after one season with the Wildcats and some forgettable moments on the sideline with Coach Stoops.

So now we're in the market for a special teams coach!

I blame part of what happens on the field on the coaches. You can give them all of the tools but you can't think for them!

The Cats need a few more tools before the coachs will get better.

Sometimes you have to play you're more talented athletes on special teams in order to reach your goals too!

I am not a historian, but it just felt like this past season was the worst punt return yardage that I have ever seen as a Cat fan. Seemed like they never tried a different player as the return man all season, or if they did it was only one other player.

I think the punt returner has the most dangerous job with his head up and the enemy barreling down on him, but if you can find the right player, you can get a game breaking play on occasion.
