The offensive coordinator job listing is now up on UK’s website. The listing doesn’t include anything out of the norm, but there is an application due date of December 7. Applicants must also be able to lift, push, pull objects up to 25 lbs., which eliminates BTI from the running.

From perusing the candidates, the guy from Miami is listed as the best recruiter. Bringing in talent is important. If all things are equal, I go with the guy who recruits the best.

The job has to remain posted for 7 days weather they already have a candidate or not.

Who is everyone's guess for the next OC?

I think it will be Riley.

His team has a bowl game. I am thinking that it won't get announced until after then. It is just a hunch. If UK doesn't hire him, I am guessing that any other candidate may be in the same position, obligated to finish out the bowl game and then make the new job public.

They've made the extension run at 2 extra times recently. Makes me wonder if they haven't had the applicant they were looking for this go around.

We get him and our quarterbacks will love it!

He is as good as they get when it comes to offensive sets.

He would open up our offense immediately.

If our offense is opened up what effect does that have on getting a RB like Harris?

Look at Bama they always have great running backs and they always have a great passer that throws the ball a lot.

Here is a Larry Vaught article who has all kinds of ties to the athletic department who is talking about it to.

Of all the possible coaching candidates to replace Neal Brown as Kentucky’s offensive coordinator, no UK fan could have expected Steve Spurrier’s name to surface. But it has.

Scott Roussel of Football Scoop has indicated that Steve Spurrier Jr. is a candidate to the next offensive coordinator. He’s the son of South Carolina coach Steve Spurrier and is currently the Gamecocks’ offensive coordinator.

He’s been a successful coordinator, but I am not sure that is a name that would overly excite Kentucky football fans. But what an interesting hire it would be.

Roussel, like many others, still thinks East Carolina offensive coordinator Lincoln Riley is the favorite to replace Brown.
