It will help our defense getting these guys back for Tennessee.

Defensive coordinator D.J. Eliot said both defensive back Blake McClain and defensive end Za’Darius Smith were able to practice Wednesday as UK prepares to play at Tennessee Saturday.

McClain missed last week’s loss to Georgia after injuring his shoulder at Missouri while Smith tweaked his ankle against Georgia.

“Blake’s practicing, and things are going good. We got a big week this week getting ready for Tennessee, and we got to have all hands on deck,” Eiiot said.

What about Smith?

“We had him out there. We got to make sure that everybody’s ready to go, and we’ve concentrated on fundamentals, and that’s what we’re harping on this week,” Eliot said.

I like it when coach Eliot says that we will have all hands on deck. We are going to need all our players playing and not on the sideline nursing injuries. We should have no excuses this week.

G-B they are the best we have and are better with them. We will have to see if they can make a difference.
