That's what Neal Brown had to say about our offensive output. I just hope we can continue that good play against Missouri on Thursday.

Gaining 504 yards and scoring 31 points against No. 1 Mississippi State last week gave Kentucky’s offense “a little confidence” going into the final four games of the season.

“I thought that was as good as our quarterback and receivers have played in two years. Definitely took some steps. A lot of growth from the week before, for sure,” said UK offensive coordinator Neal Brown Tuesday. “We got some yards, we threw for some yards, but I think Mississippi State is still really good on defense, especially up front.

“We struggled running the football. Running backs and our o-line didn’t play as good as they could, as good as they will as we finish this year. We’ve got to get where we’re all clicking at the same time. We need to do that this week.”

Quarterback Patrick Towles completed 24 of 43 passes for 390 yards and two scores with no interceptions. He also ran 23 times for a net 76 yards despite being sacked seven times and even had a 48-yard run.

Towles need a timer in his head that tells him when to get rid of the ball and not take a sack. Throwing it out of bounds can prevent a big loss or even worse a fumble from the sack.

Towels just continues to get better with every passing game! (what a play on words)
