Our whole team played their hearts out against the number one team in the country. Congrats to them both for their play.

Senior defensive end/linebacker Bud Dupree has been honored as a Lott IMPACT Trophy Player of the Week and junior Landon Foster was tabbed honorable mention punter performer of the week by the College Football Performance Awards.

Dupree was one of six players nationally honored as Lott IMPACT Players of the Week, with the winner to be determined through online voting and a national voter panel. One of 20 quarterfinalists for the Lott IMPACT Trophy, Dupree led UK with 10 tackles, two quarterback hurries and one sack vs. No. 1 Mississippi State.

Dupree ranks second in Kentucky history with 20 sacks – leading all active Southeastern Conference players – totaling 30.5 tackles for loss and 218 tackles. Dupree has 45 tackles in 2014, with four sacks, six tackles for loss, an interception, pass break-up and blocked kick.

Foster punted six times against Mississippi State for a 47.8-yard average. Foster dropped three punts inside the 20-yard line and had a long of 58 yards, just one yard shy of his career best. Foster has punted 40 times with a 42.2-yard average this season, with a career-high 20 punts inside the 20. Foster has a 42.1-yard average on 169 punts in his career, with 48 downed inside the 20.

Kickoff set: Kentucky’s home game with Georgia Nov. 8 has been slated for a noon kickoff at Commonwealth Stadium with the game televised live on ESPN.
