The Kentucky Wildcats basketball staff will be busy in the coming days as the live recruiting period opens up. With all the travel, they are making sure they get out to check in on 5-star guard commit Skyy Clark.

According to Jack Pilgrim of KSR, Clark will get to see a member of the UK staff twice this week, as Jai Lucas is scheduled to visit Montverde Academy on Thursday, followed up by a visit from John Calipari for an in-home visit on Sunday.

Clark has been committed to Kentucky for a little over 10 months, and he recently took a visit to Lexington in June. Here is what he had to tell KSR after his visit:

“It couldn’t have gone better. The trip was amazing. Thank you to Coach Cal, the staff, and the entire team for letting us come out and have an amazing time.”

Clark announced a transfer to Montverde in May, then suffered a partially torn ACL in July. According to his father, Clark is ahead of schedule on his recovery time and will be available to play this winter for the Eagles.

The 6-foot-3, 200-pound Clark is currently ranked as the No. 11 player in the Class of 2022, according to 247 Sports composite rankings. The same rankings also consider him the second-best point guard in the country.

Elsewhere, Kentucky assistant Jai Lucas was in Texas today to see 5-star guard Cason Wallace, according to Rivals reporter David Sisk. Lucas effectively confirmed the news with a tweet that showed he’s in Richardson, Texas, the home of Wallace.

The No. 12 player and second-best combo guard via 247 Sports Composite, Wallace has been trending toward Kentucky since he scored a scholarship offer in July. The 6-foot-4, 185-pound guard has a decision date set for Nov. 7.

All three of Rivals’ top basketball recruiting analysts are picking the Wildcats to beat out the Texas Longhorns and Tennessee Volunteers in this recruitment.
