The good news for Kentucky keeps on coming in the Wildcats’ pursuit of Shaedon Sharpe.

Sharpe — a 6-foot-5 shooting guard from Ontario — has been one of the top stars on the Nike circuit for the past week, and UK has been seen for weeks as a favorite for his commitment. 247Sports national analyst Eric Bossi, who covered the Nike event last week, logged a Crystal Ball prediction in favor of the Wildcats on Monday, joining 247Sports colleague Travis Branham and Rivals.com analyst Jamie Shaw in picking UK to land the star prospect. 247Sports national analyst Jerry Meyer has also put in a pro-UK prediction on Sharpe’s page this week.

Kentucky Coach John Calipari was a constant presence on the sideline for Sharpe’s games during this past weekend’s evaluation period, and UK hosted Sharpe for an official visit — the only such trip of his recruitment so far — last month. In seven Nike regular-season games last week, Sharpe averaged 21.6 points and 5.3 rebounds per game, making 18 of 39 three-pointers (46.2 percent). The Nike Peach Jam finals are next up this weekend.

Shaw, who logged his prediction for Kentucky over the weekend, wrote Monday that Sharpe should now be in the conversation for No. 1 player in the 2022 class. Things are looking up for the Wildcats.
