Five-star shooting guard Anthony Edwards has reclassified from 2020 into the 2019 class, according to 247 Sports. Edwards is now 247’s No. 1 overall player in 2019, passing the likes of James Wiseman.

And Kentucky is making him a priority:

Edwards told 247Sports that Florida State, Georgia, Kentucky, Michigan State and North Carolina are the schools prioritizing him. All five schools have offered him a scholarship.

“I don’t have any [official visit] dates yet, but I know for sure I’m going to set up visit for Florida State and Michigan State,” Edwards said. “I haven’t decided about the other three.

“Kentucky is just a great school and a great program with a great fan base and stuff like that.”

Over the summer, Jason Jordan reported that Kentucky is among the school’s coming the hardest after Edwards. Also in hot pursuit were the North Carolina Tar Heels, Michigan State Spartans, Duke Blue Devils and Kansas Jayhawks.
