First I had my identity stolen. After about a month that hopefully is cleared up.

Now after several exhausting series of tests I have been found to have some potentially major blockages in my cardiovascular system. I now have to have a heart cath done (what ever that is) to determine exactly how much blockage there is.

Hopefully it can be corrected with a couple of stents. If not I may have to have open heart surgery. In the meantime I’m supposed to not do anything strenuous, exercising , mowing the lawn, having sex (no problem there), etc.

When it rains it pours. Hopefully they can put stints in. I have four blockages and eight months ago the Doctor put stints in three of them. It's outpatient surgery it took around ten hours from the time I got to the hospital until I left that afternoon.

I'm telling you this to hopefully ease your mind. I just prayed for you and will continue to do so.

Thanks for the encouraging thoughts and prayers, rlt4uk. I am a man of strong faith and a firm believer in the power of prayer. Your words are very comforting.

Jarcat,
I am also a person of prayer and will pray for you.
I have been through open heart surgery and it went well without complications.
Who are your doctors? I went to medical school at Uk and may know your physicians.
God bless you, Jarcat

Prayers Jarcat.

I had 3 stents 9 years ago and have done ok. Hope that is the route they take but I have several friends who have had open heart and they have done well also.

Great News!

After spending 7 hours in the hospital I was found to have only one blocked artery. It was fixed with a stent and I'm good to go. I can resume full normal activities tomorrow.

Thanks for the thoughts and prayers, guys.

You bet. A blocked iliac artery was what finally convinced me to quit smoking after 52 years, especially when the surgeon said, "If you want to do this every year, just keep smoking."

Jarcat,
So happy to hear the good news. I earlier asked the names of your doctors, but I didn't realize that all of my friends are too old to be working any more (just like me)

EXCELLENT news, Jarcat!

Now you can go back to ranting and screaming at the TV when the Cats are playing. [Big Grin]

I'm hoping you don't have to do nearly as much ranting and screaming this year as you did last!
