Butler High School’s Jordan Watkins, one of the top-rated recruits in Kentucky’s Class of 2020, announced his commitment to the University of Kentucky football team Saturday.

Watkins is ranked as a three-star recruit by 247Sports.com and is ranked No. 9 overall in Kentucky’s senior class. He also had scholarship offers from Central Michigan, Eastern Kentucky, Illinois State, Kent State, Louisville, Purdue, Rutgers, Southeast Missouri State, Tennesseee-Martin, Western Michigan and Youngstown State.

The 6-foot, 180-pound Watkins played in five games for Butler last season at wide receiver and defensive back, catching four passes for 74 yards and a touchdown and posting four tackles.

The kid has sub 4.4 40 speed. I don't care that he isn't ranked that high. He prob doesn't have a decent QB on his team. With that kind of speed, he should always be open in a high school game.
