I have seen many remarkable nature photographs over the years but this photo of a nesting Falcon in an old tree is perhaps the most remarkable nature shot that I've ever seen. I hope you enjoy it as much as I did. Nature is truly breath-taking!

Please send this to most of your older friends, since the younger ones probably have never seen a falcon, and wouldn't recognize it.

Ukcatfannfl, you are killing me! As I was reading your post I was thinking about a trip I took to Alaska where I got to see a bald eagle in a very remote and natural setting and how awesome it was. It was spectacular. Then I see your photo and I was blindsided. But I did just about laugh out loud. [Smile]

I am most impressed by the size of that falcon. Wow. But it looks to be injured...

Too funny! I didn't know Falcons lived to be that old, it has to be 50-60 years old.

You're right. It's about 57 yrs old, give or take a yr. My first new car was a 63 Falcon convertible, champaigne color with 4 on the floor. I was 21 and in the Air Force, stationed at Lynchburg, VA. traded my old 55 Ford Custom in on it. My mistake was I bought a year too early. If I'd waited another year I could have gotten me a first year Mustang.

My brother owned a falcon and I can remember that it wouldn't start using the starter and we had to push it (which was fairly easy) to use the clutch to start.

He also tried to park on a hill as often as possible - to say the least.

Sister had a white '63 hardtop, three on the tree, red interior. It was her first car.
