Beats me. It appears almost everybody, including most of his staff and our military advised against this move. Maybe his reasons are to fulfill a campaign promise. Maybe, as he has stated, he is sickened by signing these letters to deceased relatives of our soldiers. I hope it is for the latter.

While I agree with him when he says we have to get out of these endless wars in that region, it just does not feel right to leave allies to be slaughtered.

I side with our generals, present and retired, the majority of the Democrats and Republicans and almost everyone else that this is a mistake. I sincerely hope he knows what in the hell he is doing and not shooting from the hip.

The Kurds were literally our "boots on the ground" in the fight against Isis because we didn't want to commit American troops. They were loyal and dependable allies who lost over 10,000 thousand fighters. We supplied them, trained them, fought along side them, and, most importantly, pledged to protect them from Turkey...strike that last part...we lied.

However, your citizens can use commercial airliners as WOMD's to attack our nation, butcher journalist, use US made weapons to murder thousands of innocent civilians in Yemen and we will still come running to defend you against an enemy that you are too cowardly to fight yourself if you have money and oil....something we obviously forgot to tell the Kurds, who only had their blood and loyalty to give.
