This may be a game to try some zone to stop those easy drives. Cal's got to try some different things to have a chance. Heck, we may even be a team that NEEDS to run some junk defenses to win.

This team has no rhythm. Yes, most of that is UTs incredible defense. But when we do catch the ball with some space, we hurl the ball up instead of shoot it.

Why?

Forcing a post pass against this defense is tough enough, but then Oscar is surrounded by bigger players.

The second option is the dribble drive, which isn't yielding baskets, but it is drawing fouls. Might be an advantage at the end of the game.

Cal tried his best to lose this game for us. This shows we have the team to succeed this year. Wheeler being out finally forced Cal to play the guys he should have been playing all along.

What a job by the players. They fought hard, played more as a team, and actually moved better on offense today. Until Cal made them slow down. Really great effort and a big win. Yeah, UT missed alot of layups, but we had to play tough and physical and we did. And better yet, we hit our FT's. Man that feels good.

Looks like our FG shooting % didn't win this game. It was our free throws that were the real winner.
