You know we constantly complain about KY's strength of schedule. rightfully so, especially at home.

On the other hand, over half of the field still in the NCAA Final Four was on KY's schedule this year.

UNC, Duke, Kansas, Arkansas, (St. Peter's) Unfortunately that las team was in the tourney. Evidently they weren't such a fluke basketball team as they face UNC on Sunday night in Philadelphia for a trip to the final four!

Dook and Kansas were part of TV events - Champions Classic and Big12/SEC Challenge - and played on a neutral site.

We didn't schedule UNC or St. Peters. UNC filled in when each team's opponent were shut down due to covid. Both of these were neutral site games.

But we did schedule these teams, at Rupp, who finished with a combined record of 152-167. I would surely be complaining if I was a UK season ticket holder.

Robert Morris........8-24
Mount St Mary's.....14-16
Ohio................25-10
Albany..............13-18
North Florida.......11-20
Central Michigan.....7-23
Southern............17-14
Notre Dame..........24-11
Western Ky..........19-13
High Point..........14-18

Whatever happened to the days of playing home-and-home series against UNC, Louisville and Indiana every year?

Someone needs to put an end to Kansas before they stretch their lead in lifetime wins over us. If they do better than us next year that lead will only get larger and make it harder for us to get it back.

I realize we shouldn't have scheduled High Point, but a former UK head coach happens to coach there. I guess we could have invited him to another game we were playing in to hang his jersey in the rafters!

We did schedule UNC but we had Ohio St. instead who at the time was ranked higher than UNC!

We also had UL scheduled who backed out for us to play WKU! Both cases, not our fault but it happened that way anyway. I think WKU had a better record than UL to tell you the truth!

So, how many teams did we face this year that made the NCAA tourney? I count 4 still in the tourney. We won't include St. Peter's if you want!?!?!?
