I enjoyed this so much more than Big Blue madness.

Of the newcomers, I was impressed with Oscar what’s his name and TyTy Washington. Not near as impressed with Wheeler as I thought I would be. I’m sure that will change.

My big take away from this scrimmage is there is likely to be some unhappy back court players with their lack of of playing time. The kid that transferred from Iowa didn’t play and even without him we seem to be guard heavy. I also have concerns how Allen is going to fit in with this team.

Front court looks very strong to me.

I don’t pretend to be an expert analyst but this made me really look forward to this season. Then again, I was looking forward to last season. That didn’t end so well.

Sure looks tome like we've got a few good shooters from outside. Washington looks to shoot as soon as he steps across midcourt!

"the kid from Iowa" is a dead-eye shooter with real big-game experience. He will play. But he is nursing some sort of injury, and said he would play in the Blue-White game only if it felt good. He is trying to be ready for the Duke game first and foremost.

Yes, we have a lot of good guards, but if Cal is smart, he won't leave them on the bench. He can rotate then in all game long and keep them fresh. Same for the forwards. We have a legitimate 10-man rotation, and if we are going to be the fast-paced, dribble-drive team Cal promises, we will need all ten.

I watched most of it, too. We do have some shooters and I think they will do really well. Barring injuries and personal problems, they should go far in the big dance. From what I've been reading, the SEC games will NOT be pushovers. Several ranked teams in our conference this year and that may be a good thing and get the Cats even more ready.

Just remember the season is for a 1 or 2 seed - without that seeding chances of winning the NC go way way down!
