Yesterday evening, during the UK Pro Day, UK Womens Head coach Matthew Mitchell resigned as head coach. After suffering some form of brain bleed from a concussion suffered back in March, he underwent some from of brain surgery late spring that he was continually rehabbing from since.

Kyra Elzy, former UT Lady Vol under Pat Summit and Oldham County Colonel, will now take over the reigns of this highly ranked team.

Coach Mitchell will be hard to replace.

I hope there's not another reason he is retiring. Maybe he is having more problems with his medical problem than we know. Definitely hope he is improving on that.
