Back on May 27th, five-star center Moussa Cisse announced that he would be reclassifying to the 2020 class, and a college decision was expected to be made this week.

However, Evan Daniels of 247 Sports now reports that Cisse has postponed his decision due to the current issues that we are facing in this country.

“It’s bigger than basketball what’s going on right now,” a source told 247 Sports. “We are to wait until things calm down a little bit.”

For what’s worth, This also comes on the same day Oklahoma State was hit with a postseason ban by the NCAA for their involvement in the FBI investigation into college basketball corruption. LSU is another school tied up in that, so perhaps it’s also affecting Cisse’s decision.

Cisse was the No. 8 overall player in the 2021 class and is now listed at No. 11 in 2020 by 247 Sports. He is the No. 2 overall center behind only Evan Mobley and is believed to be the best shot-blocker in high school basketball.

When he does decide to make announce where he is going, he will be deciding between Florida State, Georgetown, Georgia, Memphis, LSU, and Kentucky. But there isn’t a timetable for when the announcement will come.

“It’s hard to say now,” the source said. “As the situation is unpredictable.”

As is currently stands, when Cisse makes his announcement, many still expect that he will be on his way to LSU as eight of the 11 Crystal Ball predictions have him heading there with the other three having him on his way to Memphis. Eight of the nine Rivals FutureCast predictions are also in favor of LSU.
