For Olivier Sarr to get eligible next season, he’s going to need several things to go his way, one of which is getting support from Wake Forest.

When it comes to college transfers and immediate-eligibility waivers, they’re usually only awarded in situations where the play transferring gets support from his previous school to become immediately eligible at their new school. That was the case last year when UK helped Quade Green get eligible at Washington and Jemarl Baker at Arizona.

Will Wake Forest and head coach Steve Forbes do the same for Sarr?

According to KSR’s Matt Jones, Forbes will support Sarr getting eligible to play for UK in the 2020-21 season. That’s a major step toward Sarr being able to suit up next season. Without that support, the chances of Sarr being eligible drop significantly, so it’s great to see Forbes and Wake Forest are doing the right thing to help their former player.
