Wish him luck but I just can’t see him having an NBA career. What you have to remember is this is coming from a guy that thought John Wall would be a bust in the NBA because of his shooting. 😒

Unless he gets on the right team he may have to worry about his second year. That is if he makes the first 30 selections, which is not assured. He was still not steady with his play and could end up in the D league for a while.

It will all depend on how his game translates to the more wide open style of the NBA. I thought Rondo would struggle in the NBA, but underestimate how much the wide open nature of the NBA game would benefit his skill set. I really have a terrible track record of predicting how players will translate to the NBA, so I gave up a long time ago. I never though PJ Washington or Rondo would do well. I didn't think that Booker would be as good as he is, so I am not expert, that is for sure.

I think he will go traight to the G league. Or maybe that should be D. Or maybe E. Anyway you get the idea.

Or more likely overseas. Enjoyed watching him play defense. Offense made me cringe at times. Wish him the best.

Ga Cat, you made me realize I meant Rondo when I said Wall in my previous post.

Now I’m not sure who I mean. One of those guys who got drafted who was not a good shot in college. Getting old is hell.

Rondo's success did not surprise me. He was an athletic freak of nature, and he worked diligently on his shooting in the league.

One player that DID surprise me with his NBA success is Bam Abadayo. That guy has become a solid NBA star!

Agree on both players. Rondo had elite PG skills in college, although he couldn't shoot. Hagans is a decent PG who can't shoot.

I didn't think Bam would last ten minutes in the NBA. But I forgot that the traditional back-to-the-basket center no longer exists in the NBA. I think when they got rid of the rule prohibiting the zone defense is what killed the traditional center. Today, NBA centers are high-flying athletes who need to do nothing more than run, jump and dunk. Bam fits that mold very well.

Rondo made 249 field goals in 505 attempts for 49.31% for the Cats, free throws not so good.
