On Sunday, the folks at the NCAA announced that there would be no bracket this year. For some teams that normally do not make the tournament, this had to come as a major disappointment. However, the committee felt like releasing a fake field would do more harm than good.

But if they had completed the 68 team bracket, where would the Kentucky Wildcats have ended up? According to Joe Lunardi, the Wildcats could have ended up on the 2 line or slid all the way down to a 5-seed, depending on the results of the SEC Tournament.

Of course, we have no idea how the tournament would have played out. Would Kentucky have played Alabama or Tennessee? Would Auburn have caught fire and made a run like last year? Could Kentucky really beat Florida three times in one season?

There are so many question marks about what could have been. But given the resume that we do have and the information available on the Wildcats and the rest of the field, where would they have been seeded?

Jerry Palm's bracket is out on CBSSPORTS.COM and he has UK as a 4 seed. Supposedly, Jerry has been more accurate than Joe over the years.

Anyone putting out a bracket is crazy … there is no way to know who would have won tournaments and who would have dropped. Just peeps wanting hits on their pages. Total nonsense IMHO. That's all folks.
