Looks terrible right now. I don't understand why we run this circle play and don't run anything to get Nick the ball inside. We have literally not run one play for Nick, and he has a big size advantage. It makes no sense and we are not getting any good shots. Auburns offense is run better than our because they have better spacing.

If you're not going to run anything for the post then move them out of the lane. We have no driving lanes at all because it's clogged up by Sestina and Nick just setting screens. It's just stupidity.

We should be winning this game by 10 points as bad as Auburn is shooting. But staying in man and letting them get to the rim and getting fouled is keeping them in it. Maybe some zone would help.

Go ahead and kill me for this, but this team is not prepared for games. Yes he improves them individually, yes he gets them to play together, yes he prepares them for the NBA game; but adjustments in game are very rare, our offense is absolutely terrible, and there seems to never be any game plan for the opponent. We have the size advantage we have in this game and Richards and EJ aren't even involved in the offense except to set picks. Give me a break. And we rarely ever switch defenses. It's smart to be able to play different defenses to keep teams off balance. Maybe if we did play zone a little bit more we would be better when we do play it. I have said this before, but it was Cal's own words "I count on my 5 just being better than your 5." And when his 5 isn't that much better than the other 5 we have a very good chance of losing. This team should not be where it is right now. It should be much better, and the offense and defense should be much better. I hope I eat these words, but this is not a good season right now, and if we continue like this we will be done early in march. I almost can't stand to watch them because of all the stupid play. Why the heck are we switching everything again? We hadn't been doing that and it was a big part of what killed us today. Did Cal tell them to stop switching? Doesn't look like it. It looks like he was telling them to switch everything. Makes me sick. I'm tired of being just a breeding ground for NBA players. All that NBA talent should have brought us at least 2 championships in this time, at a minimum. Championships since 2009 UNC 2 champs, Duke 2 champs, UCONN 2 champs, Villanova 2 champs. No way we should have 1 in that time. Sorry to vent, but very frustrated watching this team after a long week.

We lost a close game to a ranked opponent on their home floor...who ain't that happened to? Could have played better...but we didn't.
This is a very solid, albeit young, team that I believe will be as good as anybody come March.

Yeah the refereeing hurt us as it has in most of the games this year. But our big problem is we are not almost a veteran team now. We play more like a freshman team that hasn't grown into their sophmore shorts yet. Anyone that thinks Cal is gonna have them ready for March is dreaming. We will be lucky if we split the remaining 8 games in February. If Hagens plays many more games like today his chances of going in the draft may be out the window.
It seems like all we do is drive it down the lane(dribble drive) or take 3's. As has been noted here already we don't seem to have any other offense. We did go to the zone defense for the last quarter of the game when Hagens went out. We just can't play a good 40 minutes either. If our shooting don't improve we will lose 10 this season.

We actually shot the ball better than AUburn KY shot 41% to AU's 35% hit 2 more shots than AU.
Hit the same number of three's as AU while attempting 7 fewer.
We lost the game at the FT line and on the glass
AU shot 20 more FT's and hit 13 more, we also lost on the glass 42-28. THat last stat has to be cleaned up!

AU seemed to want it more. Refs were bad, as usual, but they didn’t cost us the game. Rebounding killed us. No way we should be out rebounded by 14 against them. They had 11 more offensive rebounds than us. Totally inexcusable.

It didn't hurt that it was T-shirt night, College Game day was in attendance for one of if not the first time every, and we were playing against one of the best teams to ever play college basketball, was it any wonder Auburn was pumped for today's game. When Cal comments that we are everyone's SUPER BOWL, he's not kidding!
They celebrated after the game like they had won the national title! That's why Cal says we are the GOLD STANDARD! He's not just blowing smoke when he says this!
