Well, this is one of those games we were hoping for when we first saw our boys lace them up back in AUgust in the Bahamas.
Our opponent today is a familiar one, but entirely different from the last time we faced them. KY is the last team to beat this AUburn TIgers team, AU has won 11 games in a row since that loss.

What beat us was our shooting going 5-20 from the 3 point line and 12-21 from the free throw line.

We hit 1 three in final 25 minutes of the game. Herro had 1 basket in final 25 minutes of the game!

Pj was very good, not great. To be great he needed to be better than 50% from the ft line. Herro and Hagans were just awful. We had a dream matchup to get to the final four and we blew it. We are easily better than au. We played God awful and still got to ot against them. This is a big failure. If we lose to UNC here I am okay, but to lose like this stinks. They

Guess what folks. That's 2 years in a row that PJ has done the same thing. Makes 20+ points and shoots miserable from the free throw line. If you're looking for a goat for this game it has to be Washington. that's a shame after all he has went thru at UK. He's given his all but all wasn't enough. Good by Washington, Travis, Johnson, and Herro. I may be wrong on a couple of these but if they think they can get drafted more power to them
Herro disappears and Johnson is erratic so hope they make it if they leave. See you at the draft. Look for the ACC in both sides of the final.

How does the coaching staff let 2 guys score 50 of their points. Try something different. Completely force them to their weak hand, triangle and 2, mix defenses, anything to give them something to think about. But no, we just stick to regular man and let them torch us. No defensive adjustments.

Pj should be the only one gone, but I'm sure he won't be alone. Herro Here is not NBA ready because he is inconsistent, Keldon struggles to shoot and his defense is not very good, and Hagans can forget it. Hopefully we have a loaded team next season. Hope Richard's doesn't transfer. I still say him and ej could be very good college players. We may be overloaded at the guard spots.

Cal never played either Montgomery or Richards in the second half, went all the way with Reid and Washington which I personally think was a huge mistake, they played too many minutes adn were worn out by the end of regulation and the overtime.

I agree scwc. Richard's could have given some good minutes, as well as ej. A little fresher legs and we may make a few more free throws, let alone be better on defense, and move better on offense. Very disappointing way to end the season.

The one thing that might, just might keep Richards at UK is that his girlfriend is a volleyball player at KY and if I'm not mistaken she has one more year of eligibility left at KY next year. I think she's a junior!
