In the SEC commercial I see something dropped into the back of the football shoulder pads that a UK player is wearing, Does anyone know what that is they drop in that pocket?

I am only guessing, but I suspect that is some sort of monitoring device (like a fitbit) that measures heart rate, respiration, and motion. UK hired a guy a few years back that specialized in merging data analytics with performance science; that hire changed the trajectory of UK football for the better.
