Well deserved based upon their present play. They’ll have a chance vs UL, UNC, and KU to get back in the voters graces. Actually, UL not so much, but a loss would probably knock us out of the top 25. Have a lot of work to do this year.

I honestly don't see anything in the schedule we've played that deserves a smell of the top 25. I guess they are placing us this high based on perceived potential or expectations.

This is not as bad as the year that Cal had Nerlens and a PG that was as soft as cotton. This team has a lot of talent. Some of the guys who are being counted on to hit shots seem to have stage fright, making the development of the PG that much more critical.

The youngest PG on this roster is a tough kid, he just has to get to where he penetrates and either scores or dishes. I don't see the other two being able to carry the water down the stretch.

But it's just mediocre talent. Two huge parts of "talent" in basketball is IQ and ability to make shots. We have neither of those. PJ is a stud, don't get me wrong. But overall, we don't have great talent.

I think PJ has to be a leader. I was kind of upset that he didn't act in some way on that last play of the SH game. Someone, anyone, needed to take control and no one did.

To be perfectly honest, it should never have come down to that last play. If I had a vote in the rankings, even if they had won that game in overtime, they would have slipped several notches in the polls. At the end of regulation, any top ten team should have been ahead of Seton Hall by double digits.

It was a wasted game.
